Planet Earth, narrated by kids

Earth Day is April 22nd. It’s a day where we take a moment from our human-centered lives to stop and smell the roses, and the wildebeests, and the whales, and even the bugs. Focus on the planet for one day a year, and maybe we can learn to respect it on the other 364 days.

BBC America let these cute-as-hell kids narrate scenes from Planet Earth. Celebrate Earth Day through the eyes of a child, which apparently are focused on liking cheeseburgers :)

They’re right, David Brabrendroroh is pretty good, too.

(via kottke, and dedicated to nature-loving kids, old and young)

This is TOO cute yous guys!

THIS is what happens when you stay in on a Friday night. I also, strangely enough, came across this gem whilst searching for Marching Band’s ‘Gorgeous Behaviour’ video (which I still can’t find).

Because sometimes you have something you need to say but you can’t because the words won’t come out or you get scared or you feel stupid, so if you could write a song and sing it then you could say what you need to say and it would be beautiful and people would listen and you wouldn’t make a complete idiot out of yourself, but all of us can’t be songwriters so some of us will never be able to say what we’re thinking or what we want other people to know that we’re thinking so we’ll never get the chance to make things right again ever.
Who’d a thunk that ‘Gilmore Girls’ could offer such wisdom?!?

Chooseday!

Today is Tuesday. Or, ‘Chooseday’ if you’re me! Today I chose to be mainly cheerful with a sprinkling of casual merriment.I have no idea what casual merriment would even look like, but I can guess it would look like this -

SEE! She’s knitting - Casual. Wearing a sunhat - Casual. Having a proper good giggle - Merriment.

My day started off with a joke on Facebook…a ridiculously BAD joke. Nevertheless, I received 8 ‘likes’ and about 25 comments (not all commenters were taken by my jovial ‘Chooseday’ mood).

Anyways, my day became a blur of innapropriate innuendo (thanks work colleagues), and music (thanks classic iPod and superb headphones). I also got asked to cover another service at work on the day of the strikes - Wednesday 30 November. I’ve forewarned those at work who will be manning the picket lines; touch my car and you’ll get a ”whyioughta”! Safe to say, no fucker took heed of my warnings and retreated back to their mundane tasks, all the while laughing at my threat. Laughing?!? WHYIOUGHTA!

Ended the day with a trip to the gym. Now, as everyone knows, it’s ‘Movember’. Brilliant cause/charity! However… being surrounded by at least 30 guys grunting and sweating, looking like this :

and acting like this :

PURE GENIUS! Think i’ll go everyday for the rest of ‘Movember’

Peace out & God speed

I’m lacking motivation at the moment. It took me 20 minutes to just write that sentence! Listening to a lot more music than usual, which for me, means i’ve got my headphones in for the majority of the day, rather than just between breaks in social activities.

Looking for other jobs as mine is mind numbingly, soul leechingly, ear bleedingly dull. Saving (trying to) for USA road trip next year. So far £50 has been placed aside for this ‘Great Adventure’! £50 more than I had saved last week.
